These are videos are the ideal example of the Rube Goldberg I am hoping to make. When you watch these videos notice what the contraptions are attached to. This method of organizing the contraptions in the machine I believe is the most effective. It gives a clean look to something that is very chaotic in reality. This method also keep the majority of the machine off the floor, so when you walk near it you are less likely to accidentally start the machine. It also helps keep the animals from destroying my progress once I start building. The only problem is that building a support structure ,like in this video, could be expensive with all the hardware required. Any suggestions?
